Building Eagle Scouts in
Azle, Texas

Our History

Boy Scout Troop 147 is a part of the Azle community. This Troop has been chartered with the Azle United Methodist Church since 1966.

We pride ourselves on being the "Area's High Adventure Troop." Because we are a high adventure troop, we have boys in Troop 147 from Azle, Boyd, Decatur, Lakeside, Paradise, Reno, Rhome, Saginaw, Springtown, and Weatherford.

BSA Troop 147 camps once a month regardless of the weather. We teach young men skills such as wilderness survival, rock climbing, canoeing, campfire cooking, kayaking, sailing, archery, first aid and much more while at the same time having fun.

Troop 147 is lucky enough to have 5 certified rock climbing instructors.
